About me

Mr Sam Vollans

BSc (Hons), MB.ChB, FRCS (Tr&Orth), Diploma Sports & Exercise Medicine (UK&I)

''I graduated from the University of Leeds and completed my specialist training in Yorkshire. Following this, I undertook further training in both elective and trauma shoulder & elbow surgery in Sheffield with David Stanley, David Potter and Amjid Ali. I completed a European Travelling Fellowship (awarded by the British Elbow & Shoulder Society) with Denise Eygendaal (Netherlands) & Roger van Riet (Belgium).

I undertake all aspects of shoulder surgery (adults and children) including operations for rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, sports injuries, pain and stiffness. I have a large practice in elbow surgery including primary and complex revision elbow replacement, elbow arthroscopy, paediatric/adolescent elbow deformity, osteochondritis and instability.

I pride myself on excellent communication with patients and aim to educate patients about their condition so they can make the very best decisions about their own health and care. I was instrumental in developing, and continue to manage the Leeds Virtual Fracture Clinic at Leeds General Infirmary; I am passionate about innovation that improves patient experience.

Don’t hesitate to contact me for more information about your condition or care, or book online''
